In college, SSDP gave me an outlet to help students learn their rights when I saw them being violated by campus police while overseeing Code of Conduct cases in our college's judicial process. With SSDP's support I found my activist voice and learned to start advocating for myself and others.
After college, through a connection in SSDP, I got my first serious job - working with Vicente Sederberg LLC making my way into marijuana regulatory compliance. SSDP continues to link me to professional opportunities, and further, has provided some of the deepest and most meaningful personal relationships I've had to date. I can barely express my gratitude for this organization, but feel the need to try.
I encourage you to support a nonprofit that hones leadership skills in young people, works to empower those most disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs, and that provides an endless network of support to people like me.
