Eric Stevens '09 Supports Students for Sensible Drug Policy
Students for Sensible Drug Policy is building a generation of leaders.
I attended my first SSDP conference back in 2009 in San Francisco, inspiring me to start a chapter at UMiami and sparking my work on Florida's marijuana laws. SSDP creates a safe space to network and learn from others with similar goals how to create good structures and processes for smart policy changes that change people’s lives. I began working on a decriminalization campaign right after graduating, but nothing compared to leading medical marijuana state campaigns in Massachusetts and Florida, which I couldn't have done without the training and resources SSDP provided me.
With thousands of members at hundreds of chapters across the United States and the world, Students for Sensible Drug Policy is working to replace the failed and misguided war on drugs with policies that value public health, human rights, and individual liberties. Please consider supporting SSDP and the thousands of students who could become powerful leaders themselves.
