We envision a future where we take a radically different approach to drugs and the people who use them: an approach grounded in safety, justice, and education. Your support makes that vision possible.
This week, students on campuses in 26 countries will host meetings, pass out educational materials, conduct research, meet with other campus clubs, and plan events. They’ll analyze campus policy, meet with administrators, and plot strategies to change policy. They might turn out for a demonstration, distribute safe injection kits when they volunteer with the local harm reduction services provider, or save a life by administering naloxone. They’ll meet with elected officials and staff, talk with their families about harm reduction, write a letter to the editor.
Now, though, our work is more important than ever. The dangerous approaches of the drug war have brought on the most devastating public health crisis in generations. Cannabis policy reform presents previously unimaginable challenges and opportunities. And threats to our progress seem ever more menacing, particularly for criminal justice and civil liberty reforms.
Help us build a more sensible future. Invest in our vision for a world where no one is ever again stigmatized, imprisoned, denied an education, or put in needless danger because of the drug war.
